    Pure speed. Completely without mirrors.

The EOS R6 and its new features and technologies will make you rediscover your love of photography in a whole new way. You'll see and photograph your subjects in a new way, adding a whole new dimension to your visual storytelling.

See every moment. Make no noise.

The EOS R6 gives you more ways to capture the perfect moment. At a whopping 20 frames per second, you'll capture the action virtually silently - so you'll capture the moments the human eye barely notices.

Controls are where they should be

Not only the inner values of the EOS R6 show speed; also the operation is designed for speed. The controls are right where you expect them, and the ergonomic AF joystick and rear dials give you intuitive operation that keeps you focused on your subject.

    Anti-flicker technology

Our successful anti-flicker technology is also present, eliminating changing exposures under flickering tungsten light by timing each shot to coincide with peak brightness.

Premium video capture at 4K and 60fps or in Full HD at up to 120fps all with Dual Pixel CMOS AF

The EOS R6 offers video features that fit the workflow of professional filmmakers. Canon Log and HDR PQ help capture video with higher dynamic range, and internal recording of high-quality 10-bit 4:2:2 video to one of two UHS-II SD cards is also supported.

    The ultimate hybrid camera.

No matter what you shoot or how you shoot it, the EOS R6 pushes the boundaries of your creativity. Whether it's stills or video, people or places, action or travel, still life or wildlife the mix of speed, image quality and flexibility makes the EOS R6 the ultimate content creation tool.

Shoot video with exactly the look you have in mind

The EOS R6 shoots video in a variety of resolutions and frame rates, so you get exactly the result you want.

At 4K UHD resolution, filmmakers can capture superb clarity and detail and choose a frame rate from a range of values:
23.98p for that classic cinematic look
    25p and 30p for a normal presentation
50p and 60p for smooth presentation of dynamic motion, or slow-motion effects when played back at half speed

Additional options are available when shooting in Full HD resolution:
100p and 120p for even smoother presentation of particularly dynamic subjects and extreme slow-motion effects when played back at quarter speed.*

In addition to a built-in interval timer, the EOS R6 also offers 4K and Full HD time-lapse recording. This allows videographers to capture extremely slow-moving changes in a scene and enhance their footage with real-time and slow-motion recording.

    * No audio is recorded when shooting in Full HD 100p/120p

The best image stabilization in the world: 8 levels

Imagine being able to shoot freehand with exposure times of up to four seconds and immerse water in landscapes or people on the street in motion blur entirely without a tripod. That's the kind of creative freedom you can expect from the EOS R6.

The in-camera 5-axis image stabilizer for up to 5 stops protects against camera shake. And when RF lenses with optical image stabilizer (except RF 600MM F11 IS STM or RF 800MM F11 IS STM) are used with the camera, both systems work together to provide an amazing advantage of up to 8 stops.

The in-camera and lens-based IS systems also stabilize video, with a third system Movie Digital IS adding another layer of stabilization for professional-looking results.

Powerful image stabilization for a whole new range of shooting possibilities

The Canon EOS R6 features a 5-axis in-camera image stabilizer (IBIS for short) that compensates for camera shake regardless of the lens used. The sensor compensates for horizontal or vertical shift as well as roll, yaw and tilt all EF and RF lenses benefit from this new 5-axis correction. If you use an RF lens with an optical image stabilizer, the camera combines the internal IS with that of the lens in a flash, resulting in intelligent stabilization with an advantage of a whopping eight stops of exposure.

The RF bayonet has a large diameter, allowing the sensor inside the EOS R6 to move more within the image circle created by the lens. Therefore, even certain lenses without optical IS can take advantage of the system with up to 8 stops.

When using an RF lens with optical image stabilizer, it communicates in real time with the camera's internal IS via the bayonet's high-speed interfaces to effectively compensate for camera shake whether from walking, breathing, or simply holding the camera. Such correction for low- and high-frequency motion results in a whole new level of stability and can result in as much as an incredible 8-stop advantage in exposure

Image processing that gives a real advantage

The EOS R6's DIGIC X processor plays a critical role in the camera's impressive speed and image quality, enabling sophisticated in-camera image processing during shooting or after the fact.

    Clarity adjustment

A Clarity option has been added to the camera's Picture Style menu and in-camera RAW processing. This adjusts the micro-contrast in photos and videos, boosting (or softening) texture and edge sharpness. Clarity can be adjusted in ±4 steps and is particularly effective for bringing out details in landscapes and emphasizing or reducing prominent facial features, such as the wrinkles in portraits.

    Digital Lens Optimizer

In-camera Digital Lens Optimizer (DLO) technology optimizes lens performance by reducing the effects of natural optical phenomena such as color fringing, light fall-off, and even the slight blur of the EOS R6's optical low-pass filter. The results are particularly good. DLO can be applied either in-camera (during shooting or after) or in post-processing with Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software. Two levels of DLO are available in-camera: Standard and High.

The world's fastest AF reliably tracks subjects

The EOS R6's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system is controlled by a DIGIC X processor that uses artificial intelligence with high learning efficiency for advanced object detection and tracking. Eyes, faces and heads are detected with a new level of precision. The camera can also recognize cats, dogs, and birds, and helps you focus on fast-moving subjects - a highly challenging aspect of photographing animals.

    Extremely sensitive focusing

The camera's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system is so sensitive that it can focus in as little as 0.05 seconds and operate at brightness levels as low as -6.5 EV, roughly equivalent to first-quarter moonlight. The EOS R6 is the first EOS with this high sensitivity, allowing it to focus at f/22. This allows teleconverters to be used with less fast lenses also with our extremely mobile super telephoto lenses such as RF 800MM F11 IS STM and RF 600MM F11 IS STM.

    Focus Bracketing

The EOS R6 also enables focus bracketing. This allows you to combine differently focused individual images into an overall image that has a much greater depth of field than a small aperture alone could create. This technique is especially helpful for macro shots, where the depth of field is much shallower.

In focus bracketing mode, the EOS R6 captures a sequence of images with a single press of the shutter button, starting at a set focus distance and then gradually moving toward infinity with each shot. This series of images can then be overlaid into one image during post-processing using software such as Digital Photo Professional, which is included with the camera.

Right from the first use, you'll feel the responsiveness and ease of use

We want nothing to stand between you and your creativity. That's why the EOS R6 was designed to feel as intuitive and connected as possible.

    High-resolution electronic viewfinder

The EOS R6's 3.69 million-dot electronic viewfinder renders the scene in a way that makes you think you're looking through the optical viewfinder of a DSLR. With a refresh rate of 120 frames per second and 100 percent field coverage, you'll be placed right in the middle of the scene while being able to see exactly what the final exposure will look like, for example. The display can be rotated and tilted, and also stowed with the viewing surface facing the camera body for added protection.

The EVF is complemented by a rotatable and tiltable 3-inch touchscreen LCD with 1.62 million pixels. This can be swung off the camera and rotated over 270? for easy shooting and filming from creative angles. Tap, drag and zoom gestures on the touchscreen to trigger the shot, scroll through shots, zoom in and access options in the camera's menu. Tapping the touchscreen with two fingers instantly enlarges the font and makes text easier to read.

    Intuitive, ergonomic controls

Buttons, dials, and other controls are intuitively within easy reach when you hold the EOS R6 in your hand. The mode dial on the back of the camera sits just under your thumb and complements the main mode dial, which you can easily operate with your index fingers. The dial on the back of the camera can also be used to control the image view. In addition, many RF lenses offer a configurable lens control ring.

A dedicated mode dial is used to switch between shooting modes, while separate front and rear dials can be programmed to set aperture and shutter speed to best suit your working style. Focus areas can be shifted using either the dedicated joystick or the camera's touchscreen. The EOS R6's body is made of a sturdy magnesium alloy and is also dust- and splash-proof, so you can continue shooting with ease even in adverse environmental conditions. The EOS R6's shutter release mechanism has been fine-tuned to produce a smoother sound that gives you confidence that the shutter has been released, but is less likely to be noticed by the subject. Plus, the mechanism is optimized for high-speed shooting and rated for 300,000 releases. The shutter can also be set to stay open or closed when you change lenses or turn the camera off. This way you can protect the sensor or leave the camera ready for use.
