EXTENDER RF 1.4x is ideal for long distance shooting. These reliable and rugged extenders match the performance of Canon RF lenses and deliver uncompromised imaging performance when used with compatible lenses. Both extenders feature lenses made of high refractive, low dispersion glass. This counteracts image field curvature and chromatic aberration for excellent imaging quality. They also offer lens coatings and a three-layer combination lens to reduce ghosting

The extenders feature a heat-protective coating to prevent performance degradation at high temperatures and support weather protection of a compatible L Series RF lens. When combined with the RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM, the zoom range is limited to 300-500mm when the extender is attached. This prevents the rear lens of the lens from coming into contact with the extender
