    Perfection in pocket format
With an image quality of 20.1 MP, electronic viewfinder, a fast ZEISS® lens and thanks to its compact size, the RX100 III is the ideal companion for professional photographers.

    Clear view
Powerful all-rounder. Larger, faster lens with integrated viewfinder and T* coating from ZEISS®, BIONZ X® processor, and more. All this comes in a sleek and user-friendly design.

EXMOR R® CMOS sensor (1.0" type) with 20.1 megapixels (effective)
The back-illuminated EXMOR R® CMOS sensor (type 1.0") ensures bright and clear details on all your photos and videos. Sony's special back-illuminated design enables four times better light capture by placing the opaque wiring behind the sensor.

BIONZ™ X for superb detail and textures
All digital cameras must convert the light captured by their sensor into a beautiful digital photograph. The processor responsible for this conversion is just as important as the lens and a high-resolution sensor. That's why Sony developed the BIONZ™ X processor, which enables more natural details, more realistic images, richer color gradations and less image noise when shooting stills and movies.

    ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70 mm F1.8-2.8 lens
The wide-angle 24 mm widens the shooting range and is ideal for architectural and landscape photography, while 70 mm with a bright focal length of F2.8 is great for portraits, close-ups (30 cm distance) and creative background blurring. The ZEISS lens takes advantage of more than 150 years of experience in precision optics and, thanks to an advanced multi-coating, ensures shots with intense contrast and sharpness without glare or reflection.

Even better shots thanks to the built-in electronic viewfinder
The built-in electronic viewfinder enables more precise and comprehensive image composition, especially in bright light. An eye sensor enables instant switching between viewfinder and LCD for convenient and intuitive shooting.

    Area-specific noise reduction
Area-specific noise reduction selectively divides the image into areas based on patterns (such as edges, textures, and areas of uniform color, such as a blue sky) and then applies the most appropriate noise reduction for each area to improve image quality, especially at high sensitivity settings.

    Detail reproduction and diffraction reduction
Realize the full potential of your sensor and lenses. Detail Rendering technology prevents contours from being overly emphasized, which is a problem with most digital images. Diffraction reduction suppresses diffraction effects, which are the cause of light spots being blurred, especially at small apertures (large F-numbers).

    50 Mbps XAVC S handles fast-moving scenes
The high-bitrate XAVC S format is designed for videographers who want to put the finishing touches on their work. XAVC S offers impressive quality. It's based on the XAVC format used by professional filmmakers and broadcasters, while offering smart data compression that brings user-friendly editing features and file sizes.

    Full-pixel display reduces artifacts
Since the power and speed of the X BIONZ image processor is used to read data from all pixels of the image sensor at top speed, artifacts are effectively suppressed. In this way, a sharp image with high resolution is captured. The end result is video clarity that surpasses even that of more expensive full-frame DSLR models.

Choice between XAVC S and AVCHD recording formats
The high bit-rate XAVC S format enables Full HD recording at 50 Mbps for incredibly expressive footage and minimal noise. You can also shoot Full HD with AVCHD and then easily edit the format in many different programs.

Fantastic portraits thanks to eye-detection autofocus
Eye-detection autofocus makes it easy to capture perfect portraits. One challenge of professional portrait photography with artfully blurred backgrounds is perfectly focusing on the eyes. Sony's Eye Detection Autofocus takes care of this complicated task so you can focus on the right moment to capture your subject.

Lock-on autofocus brings moving subjects into focus
Having a hard time maintaining razor-sharp focus while your subject moves in or out of frame, turns away from the camera, or even objects like trees appear between them and you? Lock-on autofocus handles all these challenges, whether you're filming your kids in the backyard or producing professional ski footage.

Optional manual focus for creative control
Sometimes you need greater creative control than is possible with auto settings. Manual focus mode (MF) is the answer. If you want to be more flexible, features like MF Assist (magnifying the image) and Peaking (highlighting focused edges) make it easy to use this manual focus when you shoot.

180-degree swivel LCD for flexible image composition
The 3.0" high-resolution screen with tilt function allows perfect framing selection even for otherwise impossible bird's-eye or frog's-eye shots.

Various recording formats offer versatile video possibilities
Depending on the shooting situation, a range of suitable video formats is available. Use AVCHD or XAVC S codec with high bitrates for editing and playback on large screens, or choose MP4 mode for fast uploading and sharing.

Enjoy your 4K photos in large format
Display your photos and videos on a Sony 4K TV for easier enjoyment with family and friends. HDMI cable connections offer easy, fast connections.
