Same operability in horizontal and vertical position

The design of the VG-C3EM body makes it almost as easy to operate the camera in the vertical position as in the horizontal position, with almost the same buttons and controls as those on the back of the camera. For example, the portrait grip offers a multi-function selector for quick AF point selection.

Handle shape like A9 housing for a secure grip

The shape of the VG-C3EM grip is the same as that of the A9 body. This ensures a more secure grip, and almost the same stability is provided when shooting in portrait mode as in landscape mode.

Almost twice the operating time

Two NP-FZ100 batteries can be charged inside the VG-C3EM portrait grip body. You can check the remaining battery charge in percent via the charge level indicator on the camera's LCD (minimum unit is 1%). When the charge of one battery is depleted, the other is automatically turned on to ensure uninterrupted operation.

Special attention to dust and moisture protection

Effective dust and moisture resistant sealing protects buttons and controls as well as connectors and electrical contacts to ensure stability even in harsh environments.

Charging via USB port on the camera body

You can charge batteries inserted in the portrait grip via the camera's USB port without removing the grip from the camera body.

Extremely rugged magnesium for outdoors

Like the A9, this grip is made of magnesium alloy and is extremely rugged and lightweight.
