Product information "Sigma 135/1.8 DG HSM Art to Canon EF-SSC warranty card"

135mm telephoto lenses are often classified as a basic telephoto lens and are usually one of the first lenses in a collection. This focal length has a strong perspective compression effect, while the F1.8 speed delivers great bokeh. By minimizing longitudinal chromatic aberration, the bokeh of the SIGMA 135mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art is as impressive as it is beautiful, and the lens delivers shots with excellent contrast as well as outstanding sharpness.

It offers the outstanding resolution required for DSLRs with 50 megapixels or more. By incorporating the latest innovations in design and optical glass, and rethinking every aspect of the lens, we ensure outstanding image quality across the entire image range and set  new standards for 135mm telephoto lenses.

With resolution so crystal clear that every hair in a portrait is recognizable, this large-diameter lens also delivers stunning bokeh to give photographers everything they need.

It's ideal for close-ups and full-body shots, setting off the subject against a pleasingly blurred background. In addition to standard portraits, including wedding photography, this lens brings top performance to live events and captures subjects effortlessly with its super-fast autofocus.

To deliver the ultra-high resolution that brings out the best in DSLRs with 50 megapixels or more, the focus mechanism features SIGMA's floating system. Regardless of the distance to the subject, this lens delivers top performance from the center of the frame to the edges. The lens design also minimizes distortion to deliver flawless image quality, eliminating the need for digital adjustment during image processing.

Ideal for portraits that require impressive bokeh

The 135mm focal length delivers an impressive compression effect: even with a comparatively close subject, the telephoto allows the photographer to create a variety of dramatic perspectives. The compression effect shines in both close-ups and full-length portraits, making image composition easier.

Even more, the F1.8 speed creates full-body portraits with stunning background bokeh. All in all, this lens gives the photographer a full range of compositional possibilities.

    Fast and reliable autofocus photography

The large Hyper-Sonic Motor (HSM) provides ample torque to the focusing group for superior speed, while ensuring exceptionally consistent performance even at low speeds. Together with the optimized AF algorithm, these features ensure fast autofocus photography. In addition, the focus range limiter lets the AF respond very accurately to the distance to the subject, making performance even more reliable.

Sixth 35mm full-frame fixed focal length joins Art lineup

Introduced in 2012, the SIGMA 35mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art was the first lens in the Art product line. Since then, we have developed a variety of lenses for this product line. The SIGMA 135mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art is the sixth fixed focal length lens in the product line to offer full-frame 35mm coverage. Now even more powerful, the Art product line sets a new standard for fixed focal length lenses in the age of high-resolution cameras.

The mount is dust- and splash-proof

Since the mount of a lens is particularly susceptible to dust and other foreign objects, this lens has been designed with rubber sealing to prevent dirt from entering. The front lens element also has a water- and oil-repellent coating, so the lens can be used well in the rain, near water, or in other difficult conditions.

    Includes Nikon's electromagnetic iris mechanism

In the Nikon variant, the lens features Nikon's electromagnetic iris mechanism, enabling it to process signals from the camera body. This feature provides precise aperture control and consistent performance during automatic exposure (AE) in continuous shooting mode.

Note: Functionality may be limited with some camera bodies.
