Product information "Fujifilm GFX100 Kit GF 250mm-4 years dealer warranty"

The GFX100 is the world's first mirrorless system camera to feature a high-resolution BSI sensor with a large-format diagonal of 55 mm and built-in phase-detection pixels. Compared to previous GFX series models, autofocus speed has doubled. (Measured with Fujifilm GFX100 including Fujinon GF63mmF2.8 W WR.) There is also precise continuous autofocus with AF tracking of moving subjects.

Another world first is the 5-axis image stabilization system (IBIS) built into the body, which allows up to 5.5 EV stops slower shutter speeds (Mmeasured according to CIPA standard. This means that ultra-high resolution shots are now possible even when shooting freehand. In addition, enhanced video capabilities are available compared to the GFX 50S and GFX 50R. For the first time in this camera class, vidoe recordings in 4K/30p resolution (10-bit 4:2:2) are feasible.

The sensor has 3.76 million phase detection pixels distributed over almost the entire sensor area. They enable fast and precise focusing regardless of the placement of the main subject in the image. This allows for very dynamic work, which was not possible before with a high-resolution digital camera with such a large sensor.

The sensor is backside illuminated. This allows the surface of the sensor to absorb more light, which has a positive effect on noise performance despite the high pixel count and thus density. In addition, the GFX100's sensor offers a wide dynamic range and fast signal processing.

    Sensor-based 5-axis image stabilization

In principle, the very high sensor resolution also increases the risk of blur. To minimize this risk, Fujifilm has developed a 5-axis image stabilization system (IBIS) for the 102-megapixel sensor, which allows up to 5.5 stops longer exposure times according to measurements made in accordance with CIPA standards.

The shutter unit is spring-mounted. This effectively minimizes the vibrations generated during shutter release.

The GFX100's stabilization system sets new standards in high-resolution digital photography. In a variety of situations that previously required the use of a tripod, users can now shoot freehand with the GFX100.

    cinema-quality 4K/30p video

The combination of the new image sensor and the powerful X-Processor 4 makes it possible, for the first time with a Fujifilm digital camera equipped with such a large sensor, to record high-resolution motion pictures in 4K/30p format (10-bit 4:2:2 external and 10-bit 4:2:0 internal). In the standard 17:9 format, the camera uses a 43.8 × 23.19 mm (49.56 mm diagonally) sensor section for this. This recording format is larger than that of many current high-end cinema cameras, making it possible with the GFX100 to capture high-quality moving images with shallow depth of field, wide dynamic range and high ISO sensitivity. The videos are characterized by their atmospheric authenticity and captivate with a great richness of detail as well as plastic effect.

The GFX100 processes the high-resolution data supplied by the image sensor based on oversampling and renders the images at a resolution of approximately 50.5 megapixels. It supports the highly efficient H.265/HEVC codec as well as the F-Log standard for wide dynamic range gamma and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) for easy creation of HDR images. The GFX100 is also the first camera in the GFX series to feature the "Eterna" cinema film simulation, named after a photochemical film stock and adapted accordingly, for a cinematically expressive cinema look.

    Splash-proof and dust-proof magnesium housing

The body size of the GFX100 is comparable to top-of-the-line professional 35mm DSLR cameras such as a Canon EOS 1D X II or Nikon D5. Despite the 1.7 times larger sensor, it measures only 156.2 × 163.6 × 102.9 millimeters (width × height × depth) and weighs only about 1?400 grams with two batteries, memory card and electronic viewfinder.

To exploit the full potential of the 102-megapixel sensor, the heart of the camera (consisting of bayonet, image stabilizer and image sensor) has been decoupled from the camera body as far as possible.

    Integrated portrait grip

The GFX100 is the first mirrorless system camera from Fujifilm to feature a built-in portrait grip. This has allowed the body to be flatter overall, despite the built-in image stabilizer and dual battery slots. This allows for a more comfortable grip position.

    Multiple information displays

The GFX100 is equipped with two additional information displays: There is a 4.6 cm (1.8 inch) LC display (shoulder display) on the top, and another 5.2 cm (2.05 inch) info display on the back below the large monitor. They show various shooting data and camera settings or the histogram. The overlay of information on all displays (viewfinder, monitor, upper or rear info display) can be configured individually. In this way, essential shooting information is always visible, including during tethered shooting and unusual camera positions that make it impossible to use the viewfinder or monitor.

    Advanced operating concept

For users who appreciate the dials of previous GFX models, the GFX100 offers a display option that virtually superimposes large dials on the shoulder display. These can then be operated via the front and rear control dials.

The number of buttons and knobs has been kept to a minimum to ensure the camera is as easy to use as possible. On the top, to the left of the viewfinder, is the mode dial; it makes it easy for the user to quickly switch between photo, video and continuous shooting modes. Specific camera settings (exposure, white balance, film simulation, etc.) can be stored for each mode, so that all relevant parameters are available with just one setting when switching modes.

High-resolution electronic viewfinder and touchscreen monitor

Like the GFX 50S, the GFX100 has a detachable electronic viewfinder that swivels upward when used with the optional EVF-TL1 angle adapter. The GFX100's new viewfinder features a high-resolution OLED display with 5.76 million pixels. Designed specifically for the 102-megapixel sensor, the viewfinder has five optical elements, including an aspherical lens, that provide 0.86x magnification of the viewfinder image. Depending on the subject and shooting situation, users can choose between three viewfinder modes: "Frame Rate Priority," "Resolution Priority," and "AF Speed Priority."

The rear 8.1 cm (3.2 inch) LCD touchscreen displays a high-resolution preview image with over 2.36 million pixels and swivels in three directions.

    Fast and accurate phase-detection autofocus

The GFX100's autofocus system sets a new benchmark for very large sensor digital cameras in terms of speed and precision. The camera is the first in the GFX series to use phase-detection AF, including an algorithm inherited from the fourth-generation X-series cameras(X-T3 and X-T30), which are highly acclaimed for their fast and precise autofocus. The algorithm uses 3.76 million phase detection pixels distributed over the entire sensor surface (coverage approx. 100%). The focus modes "single point" as well as "zone" and "wide / tracking" are available. The performance of the new AF system is particularly striking when using fixed focal lengths with relatively heavy focus lens elements, which now focus up to twice as fast compared to a conventional contrast AF system.

In addition, the GFX100 offers much more precise automatic focusing with Face and Eye Detection, which is now used as standard by many fashion and portrait photographers. Face detection now works over longer shooting distances, and AF reliably tracks faces in profile as well as faces that move erratically in the frame or are partially obscured.
