For photographers who are constantly on the go, the Canon GPS Receiver GP E1 is a convenient tool to organize their image storage.

Designed exclusively for the Canon EOS 1D X, the GP E1 is a compact and rugged accessory that automatically adds accurate geographic coordinates and cardinal directions as Exif files to photos and videos. It attaches to the Extension System Terminal Cap, leaving the hot shoe free.

The GP E1 GPS device connects to the EOS 1D X in the same way as the WFT E6 device and has the same size and shape. Therefore, both devices cannot be used at the same time. The GP E1 offers an electronic compass and a GPS receiver. This allows you to add location information to your images. This information is stored in the location field of the EXIF data of each image.
