Hasselblad X1D II 50c Body

Packed with the award-winning design of the first generation, the X1D II 50C keeps medium format photography portable with its compact design. The improved electronic platform includes an enlarged 3.6-inch touch display and enhanced EVF, faster Live View refresh, and intuitive and even faster user interface controls. Connecting via USB-C or Wi-Fi to Hasselblad's Phocus Mobile 2 enables the ultimate on-the-go workflow from the camera to the iPad Pro and 2019 iPad Air models. With a wide selection of high-quality optics, including XCD, HC/HCD, XPan and V-System lenses, the creative possibilities are limitless. 

The X1D II 50C is lightweight and portable, allowing you to harness the power of medium format in a smaller footprint than most full-frame cameras. The large 50-megapixel medium format CMOS sensor (43.8 x 32.9 mm) offers excellent color depth and a wide 14-stop dynamic range. Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution technology is built into the camera system to deliver superb, lifelike tones that match what the human eye sees. Combining form and function in an ergonomic design inspired by the award-winning first generation, the X1D II 50C continues to offer creatives incredible Hasselblad image quality with 16-bit RAW images and now full-resolution JPEGs in a compact, lightweight design.

Intuitive user interface

The X1D II 50C's brilliant 3.6-inch 2.36-million-dot touch display and improved 3.69-million-dot OLED EVF are updated with higher resolution, allowing for more accurate post-capture image evaluation. With an improved magnification of 0.87x, the EVF is now larger so you can see the entire image. In addition, the menu system is now accessible when looking into the EVF, allowing for better usability in bright sunlight. Building on the intuitive pinch-to-zoom and image view user interface of the previous generation, the X1D II 50C has been refined with faster overall response when navigating through its menu system. Other additions include drag-and-drop AF point positioning and autofocus point resizing. With a faster startup time, live view with a faster 60 fps frame rate, and a shortened shutter speed, the X1D II 50C makes for an even smoother user experience. 

Improved electronics

The updated electronic platform enables a more responsive camera experience, including faster image preview and post-shot evaluation. In addition, a higher frame rate of 60 frames per second provides a smoother live view. The monitor's much higher resolution (1024x768) provides a more vivid, lifelike image experience. In addition, the X1D II 50C now enables high-resolution, high-quality in-camera JPEG images with Hasselblad's signature colors. Two SD card slots, now supporting the faster UHS-II standard, ensure optimal storage space or the ability to back up images to a second card while shooting. 

Unlimited connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity create a mobile photographic workflow with wireless or networked image export and networked shooting with the new Phocus Mobile 2 app. Tethered shooting is also possible with the desktop version of Phocus, available for both Mac and PC. An internal GPS module optionally enables automatic geotagging of images. Two SD card slots provide optimal storage space or the ability to back up images to a second card while shooting. The X1D II 50C allows the battery in the camera to be charged via USB using a computer, charger or power outlet. 

Designed for photographers

With its award-winning first-generation design, the X1D II 50C continues Hasselblad's tradition of seamlessly combining form and function for smooth handling. Machined from high-quality solid aluminum and featuring a clean finish with only the most important buttons, all other commands are easily found in the rear touchscreen. With the shutter integrated into Hasselblad lenses instead of the camera body, the weight and size of the X1D II 50C is minimized, allowing for its very compact form.
